Our Mission
Exceptional Trees International's mission is to promote, protect, and support exceptional tree programs worldwide through public outreach, education, research, legal policies, fundraising, advocacy, and professional development courses. Whether these trees are called "Exceptional," "Heritage," "Significant," "Champion," "Monumental," or recognized by another name, our aim is to support these programs that share the common goals of recognizing and protecting trees of importance.
Our Vision
Exceptional Trees International is dedicated to raising awareness about the significance of exceptional trees and their role in our communities. We strive to educate the public about the value of these trees, and celebrate their contributions to our environment, culture, human health, and sense of place.
Our membership comes from a wide-variety of areas--urban forestry professionals, nonprofits, government, private sector, academia, practitioners, students and other members who support our mission.
Our Initiatives
Exceptional Trees International engages in multifaceted initiatives that include creating and sharing best practices in research, advocacy, education, outreach, publications, workshops & gatherings, legal protections, and more to support the conservation of exceptional trees worldwide.
